The Role
This is a step-up opportunity. If you've spent a couple of years in a junior infrastructure or DevOps role and you're ready to take on additional responsibility, lead technical decisions, and build genuine cloud architecture skills, this is designed for you.
You'll work directly with our leadership team and alongside a small team of platform engineers and developers on client engagements that span the full AWS ecosystem.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, with a strong emphasis on AWS-native services (ECS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and more)
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Jenkins and related tooling
- Work on Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation across multi-account AWS environments
- Support container orchestration on EKS and ECS, understanding when each is the right choice
- Contribute to compliance and security automation - SCPs, Config rules, IAM policies, and access control design
- Collaborate on FinOps initiatives - cost monitoring, anomaly detection, and resource optimisation
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and operational improvement
- Engage directly with clients, contributing to solution design discussions and technical documentation
What We're Looking For
Must-have:
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience with AWS services in a production environment
- Working knowledge of at least one IaC tool (Terraform preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD tooling — any combination of GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline, or similar
- Comfortable with Linux administration and shell scripting
- Familiarity with containerisation (Docker at minimum; Kubernetes or ECS exposure a plus)
- Solid networking fundamentals - VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers
- Good communication skills and confidence working with a distributed team
Nice-to-have:
- Any AWS certification (even Cloud Practitioner — we'll help you go further)
- Azure exposure or interest in multi-cloud work
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch)
- Understanding of GitOps patterns (ArgoCD, Helm)
What We Offer
Certification & Growth
- We'll support you through Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialty certifications based on your interests
Exposure & Variety
- Work across multiple client engagements
- Hands-on experience with a broad AWS service catalogue: from EKS and Lambda to Control Tower, CodeArtifact, and QuickSight
- Involvement in emerging areas including AI-native operations (AWS Bedrock, Claude) and compliance automation
